The City of Los Angeles celebrated the reopening of the historic Vision Theatre following an extensive restoration, renovation, and expansion. The ribbon-cutting marked the return of the 1932 landmark—a cultural cornerstone of Leimert Park Village and Council District 10—to the community.

The Community Investment Department (CID) proudly collaborated with Council District 10, the Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Bureau of Engineering on the project, which utilized more than $18 million in Community Development Block Grant funds.

Community members filled the theatre for a celebration featuring music, dance, and a ceremony attended by project partners, civic leaders, and local supporters.

CID congratulates the Department of Cultural Affairs for spearheading this important investment and championing the arts. We are proud to help bring an enhanced arts venue to this historic community and support the continued revitalization of Leimert Park Village.
