Alzheimer’s Los Angeles works to improve the lives of local families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia by increasing awareness, delivering effective programs and services, providing compassionate support, and advocating for quality care and a cure.

Los Angeles County Aging and Disabilities Department

The LA Found Program, through the LA County Aging and Disabilities Department, assists caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, or other cognitive impairments by using tracking technology to locate individuals who get lost, wander off, or go missing.

Project Lifesaver provides a voluntary system of free trackable bracelets for at-risk individuals. The device and associated mobile app are an all-in-one tool that empowers caregivers to stay connected to their loved one, including knowing how and where they are, with features including GPS tracking, SOS button, Voice Call, and Geo-Fencing.

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support for people in suicidal crisis, emotional distress, and those who have alcohol or drug use concerns. Their services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
