The Community Investment Department’s Aging Support Services and the Los Angeles Sparks have partnered for the second year of Seniorcize, a program promoting wellness, physical activity, recreation, and social connection among older adults throughout Los Angeles.

As Seniorcize visits senior centers and community sites across the city, participants are dancing, socializing, and exercising alongside Sparks representatives, mascot Sparky, and City leaders. The Sparks’ community engagement team, front-office staff, and surprise player guests lead interactive activities focused on healthy aging and community-building.

The initiative also helps combat social isolation by creating joyful opportunities for older adults to move, connect, and have fun together.

The series will culminate with a special “Take a Senior to a Game” celebration on Thursday, September 24, when participants will attend the Los Angeles Sparks game against the Golden State Valkyries.
